I found this through [community profile] access_fandom -- a report detailing access issues at this year's WorldCon, including a practical joke involving a non-existant track of programming and a lot escalators.

Admittedly, I don't go to more than 1 or 2 SF conventions a year, but the ones I have been to were done people by who were serious about the attendees having a good time, not playing unacceptable jokes on them.

Exactly. And this....so people were missing other panels, after paying to go to the con, for this wild goose chase? as well as the accessibility complaint. Which is certainly bad enough on it's own.

Wow, that sounds extraordinarily rude and obnoxious. If there is an access committee on the con, they're either worthless or powerless.
