I just posted my Yuletide! yay, me!

And this year it's not All Penis Jokes, All The Time, unlike last year when I wrote Odinstattur.

To celebrate, I will have lunch, pack for my trip, and outline a Pacific Rim kinkmeme fill.

Hi, and thank you! Just a little about my tastes -- I prefer gen or bob in stories as prefer having a non-romance plot as the center of the story, and would prefer to have a story with a hopeful and/or bittersweet ending to a downer ending. I don't like unequal romantic relationships (mentor/student, master/slave, etc), but I enjoy stories about found families and strong friendships.

The Constantine Afflication is the book I picked up at WisCon from the $1 ARC table. It's basically a steampunk mystery novel set in a The World Turned Upside Down universe. I picked it up, read the first two lines, and had to have it.

He called himself Adam, and all he wanted was love.

The man who was not quite a man walked across his laboratory, moving awkwardly on a leg still stiff from his accident in the Arctic long years before.

Would you be able to resist an opening like that?
