Attempting to fix the problem of not being able to watch half the movie trailers my f-list points to, and nothing on youtube.com with Firefox, I download and installed QuickTime Alternative 1.7.

Now I can't watch any of MP4 movies, which means some of my favorite vids are not working.

So, any suggestions to correct this problem?

I have found that Firefox does nothing for any of my computers. I'd rather go Mozilla or Safari.

As for video players, I like VLC, which is downloadable free here.

Get VLC Media player. It's cracked everything I've asked it to play.

I use Opera as a browser, and I installed VLC, QT alternative and Real alternative (both use Media Player Classic). I've never had any problem, and between Media Player Classic and VLC I can read everything.
VLC also reads DVDs AND allows you to skip the boring intros with ads or why you shouldn't do illegal stuff and download cracked films, which gets very annoying very quickly.
