So, based on yesterday's suggestions, I'm going to get copies of Michael Collins, Rob Roy, Excalibur, and Gunshy. They're fairly cheap on Amazon (under $15), after all.

I'm just debating a few last choices.

[Poll #672218]

Obviously, I'm going to have to have a Liam Neeson film festival sometime as well. Local fen welcome, just suggest a good weekend for it.

Heh, I haven't actually seen any of those, but I voted "suspect", because that's the title I'd pick myself. ;-)

Well... Neeson as a deaf-mute murder suspect is certainly an interesting premise, but the question is it good enough to offset the fact that Cher is the lead actress?

And would it be better than seeing Neeson as a young priest (The Mission), a sailor on the Bounty, or as a stepdad dealing his his orphaned stepson (Love Actually).

I recommended Love Actually for two reasons: first, because I enjoyed his performance in the film, and second, how could you go wrong with a film that also has Alan Rickman in it? ^^

Well, they've both made *dog* awful films...

Love Actually. Not so much for the Liamness (he's being his usual gentle fatherly self), but because it's a touching movie with just enough bitterness to stop it from being too sweet. And yet it is very sweet.

And it has my former bassist's flatmate's cousin it it! :)

I chose Love Actually because in one movie you get:

Liam Neeson of course
Colin Firth
Alan Rickman
Emma Thompson

Totally worth it. Hilarious and touching movie.
