Anyone know what I should do to get my computer to acknowledge my flash drive? I want to take my mini_nanowrimo with me when I go off for Thanksgiving, but the computer is ignoring it.

If you're running Windows 98 or ME you'll need to go to the website and see if they have a driver for it. Otherwise, it should just see it. If not, try rebooting.

It's not supposed to need a driver. It's plug and play. Maybe try the website under services or something. Is it new?

At least you got it working. I wouldn't have thought of that since you have XP on it. *g*

My suggestion would be to pretend it's new and do Install Hardware. However, whatever computer you'd be using the flashdrive with probably has a CD drive so just to be on the safe side I'd burn a disk with your mini_nano and take that along too.

Also, if your computer is like mine, it has the amusing habit of assigning a different letter to the flashdrive every time I jack it in.

ha! That seems to have worked -- the install hardware.

The less said about my CD/DVD drive at the moment, the better. I can't import music right now, without freezing the computer.
