One of the companies that I put my resume to way back in *May* (they're notoriously slow to get through resumes) just called. I still would like to work for them, but they're looking for people willing to work shift, with a scheduled rotation to third shift.

I *can't* do that, as I have no car. Nor am I willing to do that again. It is a grinding schedule, and puts one at sixes and sevens to the rest of the world.

I'm willing to work evenings (but to a limit -- no midnights for me) and occasional weekends, but I think I'm going to be ruled out as not being 'flexible' enough.

I've done it -- four days of 7:30 am to 4 p.m., one of 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. -- and it does a job on one's body clock.

Something else will come along.

No thanks to the shift crap for me.
I have put intime doing that- and boy- it can be exhausting, and you miss out on life.
