DT is utterly adorkable in a tux and Converse sneakers.

I'm really enjoying Martha's family. Yes, her mom is suspicious, ill-tempered and possibly putting too much confidence in people who claim to be in authority, but her brother Leo is cool, and her sister Letitia is just wonderful. It was really good to see Martha and the Doctor interact with them; for one thing, it wasn't an immediately antagonistic relationship, like it was between the Doctor and Jackie Tyler.

The writing staff seems to be playing with how such a long life-span effects Time Lords, which is good. It really needs to be investigated, because the Doctor should have a different perspective on things.

The science was seriously handwave-y, because you can't mutate DNA with sound-waves, or get cells to reset their clocks either. And there is *nothing* in the human genome that should result in stingers or more than four limbs -- we're *monkey* descendants, not giant arthropods.

Oh, and in the trailer -- Mr. Saxon's ring (last two screen caps) looks a lot like this, doesn't it? That's... worrisome.

Looks a bit like this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/images/0747591067/sr=1-2/qid=1178477968/ref=dp_image_0/202-2960819-3451030?ie=UTF8&n=266239&s=books&qid=1178477968&sr=1-2), too. Which would also be worrisome.

Well, they have been making Harry Potter jokes -- but really, I'm going to be wigged out enough seeing John Simm as a bad guy, they don't need me to start thinking he's a Death Eater too.

But it would be an amazing weird cross-over. Is there a *competent* DE that he could play?
