I have assembled a new desk for my new apartment -- my old desk will be operating as a tv stand, for at least a little while. The apartment is still in the process of being unpacked and organized, but it's working for now. I am going to get a professional organizer in, to help me figure out how to maximize the use of my space.

I also received the Kindle I ordered today. It's the basic model, under $100 and with absolutely no frills. However, reading books on my phone has recently become an exercise in eyestrain -- I will be making an appointment with my eye doctor this week -- so I figured a bare-bones e-reader would be a good thing to have. I do want to get something nicer, but e-readers can get surprisingly expensive quickly, especially if you want to have one that you can read AND take notes on.

I'm hoping to have more get-togethers soon, both in person and online. There's a lot of media out now that would be fun to watch in a group -- for instance, Sandman, Our Flag Means Death, and Marvel What If? -- and some that are coming soon -- the Jedi Tales shorts, the Andor series.

I'd definitely be up for some co-watching. Are you still in Silver Spring?

Hope you enjoy the Kindle! I've definitely appreciated being able to just browse and download from my desk, although randomly stumbling across intriguing books is harder. :P
