I had a follow-up appointment on Tuesday with my doctor, and went for x-rays this morning.

I have a lateral malleolar fracture -- that's the tip of the fibula, and it's below the main part of the joint, so it's much better than it could be.

I was able to get an appointment this afternoon with an orthopedist, who confirmed it was a fracture, gave me a better brace, and prescribed physical therapy three times a week.

There's a PT clinic right across from the closest grocery to my place, which means I can leave work early, go to PT, and then walk home. That's actually a lot better than I was expecting. I also got a note from the orthopedist's office so that I have a paper-trail for my job; it is going to be 6 to 8 weeks of this, after all.

My first appointment with the PT clinic is next Thursday, and after that we'll see what the schedule winds up being.

I took 4 Lyft rides today -- the medical offices were on a route that normally I could just take the bus to, but the combination of the bus schedules being off because of Omicron and me not really up for much walking from bus stop meant I figured spending about $60 for rides was a good idea.
