What the heck...

is wrong with my fire alarm -- whenever I roast meat, it goes nuts. However, I can bake fruit crisps and pies from dawn to dusk and not a peep. You'd think it wants me to get fat or something.

I think your fire alarm has the right idea. Pie for dinner, yay! This may be a problem when/if your sweet tooth is gone, though.
