Farmer's Market -- 13 February 2021 (Hare Day, 25th of Rainy, Year 229)

1/2 lb of mixed mushrooms, a loaf of country white bread, cheddar biscuits, arkansas black and pink lady apples, butter, pint of whole milk, 1 lb ground beef, pork-plantain empanadas, rice-cheese empanadas (both from DMV empanadas -- yum! Also I'm amused that they've adapted to the area by offering shrimp w Old Bay empanadas), a sausage & roasted sweet potato small quiche, 3 Tex-Mex handpies, 2 Brie-onion mini tarts, a strawberry-lemon doodle stack, a slice of buttermilk cake, Chocolate You're A Little Salty squares, a traditional chocolate chip stack, and a box of cookie bloopers.

I picked up my boots from the cobbler and the dress pants from the dry cleaner, and I'm exhausted. It was freezing rain almost the entire time, and even with an umbrella I got pretty wet.

Marylanders will try Old Bay on anything, including ice cream.

Oh, the freezing rain was terrible. My umbrella was coated and went "crackle" when I furled it. My grocery cart was coated, and I am so glad it came with a heavy-duty nylon liner with a cloth lid. And my gloves got soaked.

I know. I was "well, you certainly know your customer base!" The pork-plantain empanada was absolutely delicious and I will buy more of them.
