Thai Soup is the best (Elderberry Day, 17th of Meadow, Year 227)

As I am enduring a cold that has moved from the earache-and-sore-throat stage to the snotty-mess stage, I ordered food from the local Thai restaurant's monthly specials menu because I was a) hungry, b) tired, and c) in need of soup.

This meant hoi jor, crispy chive cake, and noodle lover's soup (yen ta fo), which has a spicy pink broth (ordered with extra vegetables).

There was enough soup for three servings, but the hoi jor and the crispy chive cakes didn't last long. Definitely would eat again.

I used to love a hot radish soup when I started getting the ear and sinus part of a cold. (Then the restaurant moved.) They also had a three layer pork. nom nom.

If I lived closer to the tea shop, I'd have gone for ochazuke, but the Thai place delivers and does such good food.

You would love the crispy chive cake! Charm Thai walkable from the Metro, so we should go there sometime.
