I'm neotoma on AO3 and I've participated in Yuletide for several years, so I'm glad you're participating too!
General likes and dislikes:
Dislikes -- hatesex, extreme power differentials in relationships, mentor-student relationships, dub-con and non-con unless the characters actually deal with how fucked up the relationship is, deathfic without hope
Likes -- nifty worldbuilding, exploring the edge cases (what if the main character doesn't fit into their society's boxes -- how do they cope?), friendship as a priority, casefic and gen fic, puns, happy endings, bittersweet endings that have hope at the end.
Onto the fandoms --
Stargate Universe:
I'd a 'lower decks' story for SGU -- write a story from the POV of one of the side characters who have to deal with the dysfunctions of the main characters! Also, I really dislike the main slash pairing for this fandom (Young/Rush), so if that's your thing, please just write a gen story.
Darkwing Duck:
--go nuts! Grown up Gosalyn off to college, Drake dealing with the Muddlefoots asking when he and Launchpad are going to get married now that it's legal, or the AU where Drake becomes Quiverwing Quack after Gosalyn gets killed in BOOM! studio's Crisis on Infinite Darkwings story (because that's apparently what I want from a Disney Afternoon show -- parental grief and unhealthy coping mechanisms on par with Batman's.), whatever you'd like, as long as there's a lot of snappy wordplay and cheeky humor!
Doctor Faustus (Marlowe):
-- Mephistopheles in an Office Worker AU parody where he just can't stand his client, Dr. Faust, and complains to his co-workers and supervisor; anything that lets me imagine Arthur Darvill in Tudor dress looking subtly disgusted with people is a treasure.
