Depending where you are around the city, it's slightly under two feet to two and half feet. I'd say we got at least 22" at my place, if not a bit more.
I live in the Midwest, in town, and while I once had knee high boots those were 'fashion boots' (though I had them waterproofed up) I've frequently (due to my height) had much taller snow.
At that point I walk in the street or I go nowhere at all.
