Finally saw "The Martian"

I went to see The Martian with fabrisse; yesterday. It was kind of awesome and very science-y. I really enjoyed it.

Also, the joke about "I want my codename to be Glorfindel" is exactly the kind of geekiness I expect out of NASA.

I had actually read the book a month or two before seeing the movie, so when I came out of the movie with the urge to read for more details, I went with Mary Roach's Packing for the Void (which I had bought a year before and forgotten to read while I was going through all the books Roach had published since last I looked into her work.) But the Martian book is excellent -- more details on what exactly the guy was doing and why.
