Tomorrow, The Civil War Comes to Rockville -- a full day of free, family activities commemorating the 150th anniversary of Confederate General J.E.B Stuart's march into town on his way to Gettysburg.
Re-enactments, including a reading of the Emacipation Proclaimation, demonstrations of period military life, concerts, and walking tours, all in the Rockville Town Square area, only a few blocks from the Rockville Metro station.
I suspect I'll be there for at least part of the day.The re-enactment of J.E.B. Stuart's ride through Rockville on his way to Gettysburg is at 3pm, and there is a dance in the evening, starting at 6:30.
