I rather liked the most recent episode of Supernatural! It ended on a fairly happy note -- no one they were working with died, and they killed the monsters -- and they seem to have finally gotten a break. Also, Sam is in nerd heaven in his library, and Dean also seems happy with their new base of operations.
I'm suspect that the golem lore was handled no better than SPN handles any religious lore they use, but I really liked the golem and how it was all grumpy that Aaron wasn't religiously observant. Nothing like a magical construct bitching you out about how you don't keep the Sabbath and break the commandments for really awkward moments.
I'm just going to assume there is some sort of magical upkeep spell on the library of the Men of Letters, considering that there should be 50 years of dust and deterioration at the very least. Since the leather chairs are in pristine condition, the swords aren't rusted, and there is no mold eating the library, it must be magic.
Sam really should have been a Man of Letters, and I loved his 'research assistant' outfit. Because apparently Sam decided the way to making himself look harmless and nerdy was a blazer and sweater vest. Bless him.
I think I can use this new canon in the Big Bang I'm writing. I was having trouble with Sam as a lawyer, but Sam as a researcher for the Men of Letters might actually work better for my story...
