I don't have a new place yet, but it's only been 10 days. My prospective roommate is dealing with the housing agent, so it's just going to take some time. Moving house always make me anxious, which is absolutely no fun and very bothersome. But I will take the week after Con.txt off to move, clean the old place, and catch a few films at SilverDocs for my sanity (I was planning on going to SilverDocs as my cheap version of a vacation anyway, so it'll work out).

But I will be have a give-away party in a week or two, so keep that in mind -- books, DVDs, CDs, clothes, and other things will be available.

So you have a roommate, just looking for a place? Because I have a friend (a musician) who's looking for roommates in Bethesda right now:

Actually, she's found a house -- right now it's a matter of negotiation and paperwork. I just have to be out of this place by June 30th, and I'd prefer to have it all settled as soon as possible, so I can hire movers and such.

I have more stuff than I'd really feel comfortable moving into someone else's place, and Bethesda would actually up my transportation costs quite a bit (paradoxically, since it's closer than where I live now). But I hate the thought of giving up all my plants...

I checked with him, and he's a forty minute walk from the Metro. I think that's too far for you. I suspect the group is too young, unstable and ... musician-y? But I will continue to keep an eye out.

Moving is the worst. It's a thousand and one things and then a hundred more that I always forget until it has to happen right now.

I'm terrible at packing and all that. Partly because I *am* a packrat (not default icon) and partly because I'm often very tired from work. It's going to be a slog. Woe :(
