I only wrote three stories this year, all in Supernatural:
I've decided that I like challenges and exchanges, because they give me a deadline to shoot for, and that kind of structure helps me actually finish things. I've also figured that I really can't write short or fast, so I avoid participating in drabble, comment-fic, kink-memes, bingos, reverse big bangs, and other things that have short time windows and small word-count expectations. For me, a short story is 6000 words, and anything under that is really hard to get out -- in fact, I only have one story on AO3 under 1000 words, and that is a one-scene wonder.
In the new year, I'm working on another
gabriel_bigbang story -- which is delving deep into my ID Vortex, so who knows if anyone else will want to read it -- and one for
1upona_sabriel based on The Swan Maiden.
- Birds of Passage about 61,000 words Sam/Gabriel/OMC, crossover with Jericho for
gabriel_bigbang
- A Star to Steer By 28945 words Sam/Jess/Gabriel in a werewolf AU for
sabriel_mini
- Angels & Ostriches Sam/Castiel, Anna/Gabriel 19363 words for
sassy_minibang

I dunno, you did pretty well with drabbles back when Author 376 had those prompt-trade posts.

author376 and I were more or less brainstorming together. It's not quite the same thing as writing a self-contained 100 word story, or even a 1000 word self-contained, complete story. Though it *was* rather fun...
