Baltimoreans -- help with your fair city?

I'm thinking about going to Balticon on a day pass on Sunday.

I can either take a train up to the city, or take the express Metrobus to BWI to get to the city - which would be best to hook me into the local public transit?

How late could I reasonably stay before the public transit shuts down for the evening?

If you get a day pass for the light rail, you can take it from BWI to the Hunt Valley stop which is across the (large and busy but navigable) street from the hotel. You might have to change trains, but that won't cost you extra.

I looked at the schedule, and it looks like the trains stop running around 8:30 on Sunday nights.

Since I'm hoping to stay for a later concert, would it be better for me to take a cab from the hotel to the Amtrak station, or the airport to get home? Which is closer to that hotel? I'm not familiar with the area at all, obviously.

The hotel is actually north of the city, not in the city (or at least not in the downtown area). I googlemapped it and it's 22 miles from it to Penn Station and 32 miles from it to BWI, so the train is probably your best bet.
