I think I'm going to have to use Write or Die this weekend to get further on the ginoromous SPN fic. It would be ridiculous to not finish it after I've written 18,000+ words.
However, my brain is having a good laugh, and has wandered away to play with the post-apocalyptic Vessel-fic bunny. Which hasn't quite settled on its shape yet, but wants to involve a supervolcano eruption (seriously, that would be bad news even without Lucifer Morningstar running free) and maybe a dairy farm. And Viking Age Icelandic culture -- which doesn't mesh well with post-apocalyptic America, let me tell you.
And I have a ridiculously crack-y idea somewhat inspired by an Ursula Vernon post about a dream she had about the Grandfather of Rabbits. I mean, Gabriel would totally drag Sam off to a party held by the Centzon Totochtin, wouldn't he? Can't you just imagine Sam's reaction to being taken to a barbecue with the 400 divine rabbits who govern drunkenness? If they ever let him surface from the pulque and tequila, that is...

Write or Die is a good idea.
Viking Age Icelandic culture and post-apocalyptic America reminds me of those S.M. Stirling books where Science stops working and the SCA inherits the earth....I think there actually is a neo Viking clan in Minnesota in one of them that the Mackenzie celts run into.....
(sorry if I comment on both posts, LJ's acting wonky again.)

I've looked at those Stirling books at the library, but have not checked them out. The main thing about *that* fic bunny is that Viking Age Iceland is a lot weirder than you'd think, even if you know continental European history of the time.
Sam would totally be annoyed that Gabriel dropped him among 400 minor gods who drink, party, and screw ... well, like rabbits. Mainly because his ass got pinched so many times that he's just one big bruise...
