I tripped in the parking lot today, as I was attempting to go catch the bus to go to the Saturday farmer's market. I skinned my knee and ankle, and tore a bloody strip off my elbow -- and decided to skip going to the market in favor of going home for bandages.

Then I discovered that the milk in the fridge had gone off and I needed to get more to make the peach ice cream I'd planned on. There is a co-op in walking distance, but it is pricey. They have unsweetened cranberry juice (cranberry sorbet sometime this week!), pasture-fed cream, and non-homogenized milk, which is rather odd to cook with. I don't know that I'll make peach ice cream again, as it's a fairly fussy custard-base, and too much clean-up compared to the level of fun.

But now as I'm trying to swatch out the Oregon Shawl, and two joints in my left hand *hurt*. Which is ridiculous because I knit continental and most of the work is done with my right hand. But I think I'll have to call it quits for the night and hope I don't have bruises there in the morning -- and definitely that the stiffness has cleared up by Monday, because that would seriously impair me at work.
