Well, they offered me the job at The Big Company.
I really want to turn it down, because the commute is atrocious -- both in time (1 hr there, 2 hours home) and in the neighborhood I'd be in (very industrial).
The money is better than what I'm getting now, it'd be an immediate permanent position, and the company is fairly good as far as I can tell.
I hate this. I kind of wish they hadn't made the offer in the first place, because now I'm stuck.
It isn't helping matters that the employment agent seems to want to guilt me into taking it. And I'm not confident that the employment agency wouldn't gut my chances elsewhere if I refused this one. They may *say* they are all about finding a 'good fit', but they have had me working a dead-end temp job for the better part of a year.
