saramwrap and internic picked me up and we hit the county Agricultural Fair. It was nifty enough, wandering around, looking at the local produce, art, and quilting -- and avoiding the cow pies.
It seemed to me that there were less entries this year in the animal competitions, since I'm used to all the animal barns being used, and there were several that were empty this year.
Anyway, at 8 pm, we saw what we'd really come for -- ( monster trucks! )
This leads me to wonder, if we know that there are such things as pod races in the Star Wars universe, which are a combination of speed race and demolition derby... are there things analogous to monster truck shows? And would Qui-Gon Jinn go to one (he'd gone to pod races before Tatooine)? What about Obi-Wan? Just how tacky are Jedi allowed to be?
