Tunisian Crochet and possibly a night out

The second Tunisian Crochet class went well -- it's not a hard technique, just different. I don't know that I'll ever do much with it, but it's an interesting thing to know. molly_o's little one will at least get a washcloth out of it, anyway.

But I was talking to the shop lady tonight, and did hear about the new restaurant in my town -- the Olive Lounge and Grill. It's only a few blocks from the Metro, the food is apparently good, and it's not too expensive.

Since my birthday is on Monday, I thought maybe that would be a good excuse to try the restaurant. Anyone interested?

ETA: Hmmm... I have to make sure that they're OPEN on Monday nights. I don't know yet whether they are or not. If not, I'll have to figure someplace else to go... maybe Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda -- I love it, but it is rather pricey :L

Oooh, now come to Bethesda and I might just be able to make it. Their fish dishes look awesome and I love trying a new restaurant!

Monday...hmm. I have a bad feeling there's something I'm supposed to remember about Monday. Oh wait, never mind, it's my father's retirement party at lunchtime. No prob.

Hmm, Avi might have the day off, so probably any time is okay. But since my in-law's are in Bethesda, I can always drop Yael off if he's not home. ::shrug::

I might have asked this before, but have you done any Turkish lace crochet? And if you have, have you done it with beads? I love that stuff.

Hmm, if I get active in the SCA again, I think I might invest in some off eBay to use for Elizabethan trim...

No, just the Tunisian. I don't think I've ever heard of Turkish lace crochet.
