Hmmm, not so bad...

I've got over a 1000 words on the Xmen First Class story now. It's still more skeletal than I'd like, so it's more of Colleen Couver one page short than a full length issue, but at least it's light and frothy now. I still have a couple of scenes to write, and maybe two to flesh out, but I think I'll be able to submit it on time.

I seem to be writing my X-men fic with alternating viewpoints. I'm not sure why I'm doing that, but maybe it's because you can't get an omniscient narrator in prose the same way you can in comics.

Anyone not writing for the fest want to beta a frothy little XFC piece? I'll probably be happy enough with it to send out by Saturday noon, but if it breaks 2000 words, I'll be astounded.
