Is there anything else that you can think of that'd be great to do on a weekend or weeknight?

Oooh, I'm going to want to hit the cherry blossoms at some point. I will be with the sproglet, so I'm pretty much restricted to daytimes, but let me know if you want to walk around. I like flowers :)

I can do weekends, but I'm working a 8 to 5 job right now, so weekdays are out.

On the other hand, my boss is letting us go early -- 3:30 -- on Friday, so I should be able to make the book signing in plenty of time. I might need a lift back to the Metro, but I should be able to meet you guys for dinner.

(She's gotten so BIG!)

Lift to the Metro is no problem, as Avi and I will be in two cars anyway. He's going to take Yael home when she gets tired and then I can stay as long as I want :) Do you need a lift *from* the Metro too?

And Yael grows every time I turn my head away, I think...

[livejournal.com profile] twistedchick will pick me up at the BlackRock around 4:30 tomorrow, and from there we can get to the Borders.

Is there a place you'd like to meet and/or go for dinner at?

From: [identity profile] marag.livejournal.com

Lordy, I'm rarely in Germantown, so I have only a vague idea what's there. I'll need to glance at the map and try and remember what's in the area. Suggestions gratefully accepted if you know the area any better than I do!

Well, there is the Royal Bagel Bakery, which is a nice deli. A Ruby Tuesday. Several smallish casual dining. An Agrodulce which is probably too fancy for Yael, and a few other things nearer the Borders.

I suggest we meet at the Borders, myself, and then decide on food.

Tanglefoot and Sheep/Wool, of course. :)

I'm waiting on DH to finish his share of the calendar -- as soon as I know what days the kids will be where, I'll probably want to do a few of these.

I do know that I'm not available 3/29 (wedding shower) or 4/19 (wedding; wanna go with me? you could meet MAK and Sparkly)

You are asking me to be your DATE for a wedding?

:blink blink:

:) Sure. I might need to buy a new jacket for this...

Yes, silly, I'm asking you to be my date, and to meet my non-fannish friends. It's not going to be too fancy -- it's an afternoon wedding -- but if you want to go shopping and see what's what, that would be cool, since I still have no idea what I'm wearing either.....

I'm definitely going to need a new shirt for this. :)

Ooh, Tanglefoot. I like their music. Never seen them live, but I bet it's a blast.

Well, they are going to be in Rockville in April. Now's your chance.

I can do something on April 12th, so pretty much any of the above - Cherry Blossom, Smithsonian Crafts or Countryside Artisan (although if we were to do Cherry Blossom, we could catch Smithsonian Crafts, too).

I cannot do Sheep and Wool this year, as I have a Vid Committee meeting on Saturday, and boys on Sunday.

And, do you want to do dinner and shopping this Friday, the 28th? I have no kids.... (I'd say shopping on Saturday afternoon, but I have to go to a bridal shower.)

Cherry Blossom and the Smithsonian Arts sounds good (if one or the other is 'blah', we can go to the other one).

I'll go to Sheep and Wool somehow. Want me to get you any tomato plants?

We can shop on Friday. Meet at Lakeforest? I'll ask [livejournal.com profile] sanj if she's free for a little extra help.

YAY!

No tomatoes for me, thanks!

Is Lakeforest good for you, or do you want to go somewhere else? I can pick you up at work if you want.... And yes to [livejournal.com profile] sanj since I haven't seen her in forever!

Well, I think the Talbots at White Flint has the Women's store... and it's a nicer mall.

Let's go to White Flint then; there are a couple of choices for food there, too....
