neotoma: Lego Vader facepalms (Vader Facepalm)

I was about to start the tail of the alligator scarf, when I realize it was much too short (by almost 20 inches!) and had to frog it completely.

Bleagh!

Considering I was hoping to have it finished tomorrow so I could deliver it to the art store this week to use as a promotional display for the class, I'm incredibly frustrated. I was on gauge, but it tightened as I knit, so the scarf was almost an inch narrower than it was supposed to be, and way too short. I've gone up to a size 4 needle and restarted. Hopefully this will help; at the very least, the scarf itself feels softer at this looser gauge.

But now I've really got to knit fast if I want this ready by next Saturday...

Argh, sorry to hear that! The ripping-out is so frustrating. But hey - at least you caught the error before you had totally finished and bound it off! And you know what to look out for now when you set out to teach your students. :)

May your fingers fly and your gator behave this time. *grin*
