Since the day I got the keys to this place, I've been trying to get the gasket to my refrigerator fixed. There's a slight gap at the top of the refrigerator compartment, which means I can't trust it to keep milk cold.

However, upon moving in last Saturday, I found that there was also a problem with the toilet -- it wouldn't flush consistently. I called it and called again today to check up on the progress, and it turned out the message hadn't gotten passed along to the landlord properly.

So when I came home today, I was rather surprised to find that the toilet tank had leaked while I was a work, to the point of water seeping out into the hall, and the repair guys had only just caught it. In fact, they were assembling a wet-vac in the stairwell to go clean up my apartment. Needless to say, this is not a great start to evening, or to my lease of this place.

I'm just hoping no other disasters happen any time soon...

I think that the problem with the fridge door is actually that the door is not (ahem) well-hung--someone has to take it off the hinges and put it back in place, and probably stick a matchbook or something under the other side to level it up. Happens to my refrigerator all the time.

Nope. There's a noticeable *dent* in the gasket when the door is closed. The entire gasket needs to be replaced.

Ack, that sucks majorly. I hope you got all the bad stuff out of the way, and just live in peace now. :S
