Hey, if you remember, can you tell me why San Antonio is the capital city of the Independent Republic of Texas in the show? I was looking things up on wikipedia -- what the hell *are* the deputies' last names, anyway? the entire town of 5000 calls them Jimmy and Bill, which is just odd -- and I can't figure out why the show made San Antonio the capital.
I mean, Dallas and Houston are bombed, but why would that make the government abandoned *Austin*, which has all of the state government infrastructure in place. A move 80 miles away to set up shop in San Antonio doesn't make any sense to me, except that maybe the screenwriters couldn't remember what city is *already* the capital of Texas.
