ellen_fremedon and greenygal showed up about an hour later, as I was walking up and down the aisles scoping out what I wanted to buy. We also ran into settiai long enough to say hi.
A bit after that,ellen_fremedon and I both reached Introvert Overload Threshold and went outside for 20 minutes of decompression and not being with a thousand people in a crowded ballroom. Just as we were about to go inside The Vegan Knitter showed up, which was very serendipitious timing! We split up again, and after about another hour or two met up again because we of had spent all our money.
Then we chatted as we walked back to the Metro, and VK,ellen_fremedon and I got off the Metro to eat at Nam-Viet at Cleveland Park. I had the 5-Spice Beef, which was on the specials menu and absolutely fantastic. The salt-and-pepper tofu appetizer was pretty darn good too.
( My haul this year was mostly gifts for other people )
Next weekend, the National Book Festival! The Science Fiction and Graphic Novels program (no, I don't know why those are lumped together) is on Sunday. Anyone interested in meeting up with me?
