Smithsonian Folklife Festival this weekend and next!

The Smithsonian Folklife Festival starts tomorrow, runs through July 1st, breaks for a few days, and restarts July 4th through July 8th.

This years themes are:

• Campus & Community -- commemorating sesquicentennial anniversary of both the land-grant university system and the USDA


• Citified: Arts and Creativity East of the Anacostia River


• Creativity and Crisis: the 25th anniversary of the AIDS Quilt

The festival is free, held on National Mall, and opens at 11 am.
