Happy Canada Day to all my far northern neighbors!
Myself, I'm looking forward to a three day weekend because Independence Day is on a Sunday this year. I'll actually be in town this year, which means I'll be able to watch the town parade -- anyone who wants to join me, you're welcome to come, and I might even cook for you. I'll definitely have homemade ice cream (black raspberry, green tea, maybe ginger if I get on the ball).
I'm also going to try to hit the Smithsonian Folklife Festival before it ends -- anyone interested in meeting up there on Saturday or Monday?
