The entire network was down at work today -- I couldn't even print anything, or check email. So took the opportunity to work on my
lgbtfest story.
Good news -- I broke 3000 words! I have interaction and students (who are pretty much unphased by the idea that one of their teachers might possibly be gay) and actual plot-based conflict!
Bad news -- I realized I needed to double the length by adding Bobby POV scenes throughout, and I'm pretty sure I'm off-target for the prompt. And I can't seem to make Scott anything but a jerk about it. I'm not even trying to write Emma, because the one canon scene on the topic made her condescending and repulsively smug, and I think even Hank wouldn't tolerate it.
Also, the Tanglefoot concert was wonderful, even if it didn't help me get anything written. I am going to go the next time they're in town, and buy all of their CDs...
