neotoma: Grommit knits, and so do I (GrommitKnitting)

I have finished the Rainbow Butterfly socks for [livejournal.com profile] penknife and [livejournal.com profile] artaxastra's VSP. These socks were made using Noro Kureyon Sock yarn and the Butterfly Bows pattern from Socks Socks Socks.

Now I just have to get the socks to their new owner.

There's also [livejournal.com profile] leeflower's shawl in progress.

I need to start thinking about summer-weight projects, since it's getting warmer. In a few months, I won't want to be holding wool at all, and I literally won't be able to during July and August without being in a room with strong A/C. Luckily, the project for [livejournal.com profile] nugatorytm is mostly bamboo.

The socks came out great! I've seen the butterfly bows pattern on an afghan block before, but they weren't staggered, like the socks are. The afghan block was done in columns, but I think staggering them is much nicer.

The shawl is absolutely stunning! The purples and magentas blend so well together, it looks as if you hand-dyed it yourself! What colorway is that?

The Lost Points project looks neat! Reminds me of someone getting a great big hug. ^_^
