My holiday is going well. I had lunch on Tuesday with
umbo and
panisdead (who were incredibly nice, and who I will definitely try to see again the next time I'm in town) and then went to the Armadillo Bazaar, where I bought two fancy printing initials for my nephew.
Yesterday, my brother and his wife came over, and we all had chicken-and-dumplings for dinner. No, it's not traditional in the least, but that's what they asked for.
This morning, I went with my parents to Christmas Mass -- it's nice to see that American Catholics are keeping up the fine old tradition of ignoring everything the Pope says about not allowing girls to be altar servers.
We've just opened presents, and so I am in here typing on the computer, as my parents have taken my just unwrapped copies of Alan's War: The Memories of G. I. Alan Cope [Dad] and The Social Life of Numbers: A Quechua Ontology of Numbers and Philosophy of Arithmetic [Mom] and begun reading them.
