I just saw Batman Begins on Halloween night.... I was really impressed with a lot of things they did. Will be adding it to the library eventually. I loved the way it focused on the *how* as well as the *why*. And OMG, seeing the beginnings of Scarecrow, Falcone, the rivalry with Ras-al-Ghul, and just the barest hint of the Joker.... Well, well done. This version I think caught the duality of Bruce Wayne/Batman better than the others, I think. Michael Keaton was great, but the script failed to show the playboy side very well. Of course, I really like the idea that Bruce is just two steps short of deserving a cell in Arkham, himself, but I think this film captured touches of that. The one thing I didn't care for was Alfred as lower-class. Sorry, Michael, you missed the boat there.

Also, Rutger Hauer has not aged well. But Morgan Freeman! Woot.
