Dear Friends -- the Labor Day Cook-In

I'm planning on having another cook-in (like a cook-out, but inside) on Labor Day.

Currently, I'm planning on cooking a 4lb bison rump roast into Sauerbraten with homemade spaetzle, and probably a Quark cheesecake. And some assortment of other dishes like a salad, baked apples, etc.

I'm interested, and I think the SU will be also (he may contact you re onions, etc.)

Let me know if I need to make something else for him. I should be able to make another meat/protein dish for him.

If the onions are in large enough pieces that he can remove them, that's okay. If not -- well, check with him. We still have to negotiate some food, even after 20 years.

Sure! What would you feel comfortable with -- the main dish is going to be a German recipe -- kind of a savory pot roast with homemade noodles. Would you like to bring a light vegetable dish?
