Advice on flash drive?

Anyone know what I should do to get my computer to acknowledge my flash drive? I want to take my mini_nanowrimo with me when I go off for Thanksgiving, but the computer is ignoring it.

It's not supposed to need a driver. It's plug and play. Maybe try the website under services or something. Is it new?

I had to install Generic USB driver. My computer, he is dumb.
