Farmer's Market -- 18 November 2023 (Quince Day, 28th of Fog, Year 232)

A dozen eggs, thick-cut bacon, bosc pears (I'm going to try this recipe for bacon-wrapped pears, I just need to get goat cheese), fingerling potatoes, gruyere-ham roll, almond croissant, lemon tart, 4 nacho handpies, a spinach artichoke handpie, a snickerdoodle stack, and a chewy ginger stack, and cranberry ginger butter cookies.

I had to pick up a new prescription, so I met ellen_fremedon and the Vegan Knitter at the market.

I plan to make gougeres and pfeffernusse for the company potluck on Tuesday, and then a sweet potato pie and Ligurian foccacia for Thanksgiving, so I popped into the local Michael's to get a piping bag. I might even brave the Whole Foods later to get the goat cheese, but that's really going to depend what it looks like when I go out to see The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari tonight.

It really does! I saw that recipe on Tumblr, it's got minimal ingredients, all of which I can easily acquire if don't already have (rosemary in the garden, a ridiculous collection of monofloral honeys in the pantry -- I'm going with something on the darker end -- buckwheat, killer bee, or knotweed honey).
