Ouch! (Italian Buckthorn Day, 7th of Windy, Year 230)

Yesterday as I was crossing a plaza on the way to my physical therapist, I tripped in the rain and dark, and hit the ground with my knees, hands, and head.

This killed my glasses -- as you can see, there are several deep and long scratches in the lens, and the hinge where the earpiece connects is noticeable crushed.



The security guard at one of the buildings did come out to check on me, and when I got to PT they made sure I wasn't concussed. I did ice the damage when I got home but... I look like I picked a fight with gravity and lost.

Wince...oh dear. Hope you feel better soon. And you were still recovering from the other fall...

Yeah, I was on my way to PT when it happened, which was probably the best thing that could have happened -- five minutes later I'm in a facility where people have enough medical training to recognize if I'm concussed or not. If I hadn't been going to PT, I'd just have been going home.

That looks terrible. I'm glad you're okay.

The heavy dramatic line would be neat if it was eyeshadow, not a bruise. Any time I move my eyebrow right now I'm getting twinges, which is not fun. I hope it mostly clears up over the weekend.
