The 'E' is silent, moron.

Well, a recruiter just called me. Not to offer *me* a job, but to get me to give her the names of any Sales people who I know from the Old Company who she might like to offer a job.

She misprounced my name. It's not a hard name. It's a common English-language name, with a silent 'E' on the end; this is standard spelling of my name, not even some weird modern variant. People who pronounce the 'E' are idiots, ones who aren't paying attention or trying to get my back up, as pronouncing the 'E' -- which makes the name into a diminuitive -- is a sure way to piss me the hell off.

I think I'll just erase her message and round-file her.

If your name is similar to what I've seen on the emails... I have no idea how that lady mispronounced it. How stupid. And rude to call someone to find out names to fofer jobs, but not to you. Totally ignore her, the woman doesn't deserve the time of day.

Some people apparently mistake the "E" for "IE"... which is acceptable if English is not your first language, but from a native speaker is just fricking ANNOYING.

I'm tempted to call her back just to ream her out for her rudeness.

Ignore her. She wants you to do her headhunting and she's not even offering you anything? Feh.

Feh, indeed. I think I'll save the message until [livejournal.com profile] tricksterquinn comes over this weekend. Then we can mock it together.
