Yummm!

Katsudon is a yummy treat even when you don't have panko and have to substitute ordinary bread crumbs.

It's even more fun when you have your own chopsticks.

ETA: And when you are editing SW icons as dessert...

Any relation to kitsune udon?

And icons? :)

Don't think so -- it's panfried pork cooked in dashi with onion and eggs, over rice.

Yup, icons. (http://pics.livejournal.com/neotoma/) Anything you are looking for in particular?

Oh, now I get it - tonkotsu udon - tonkotsu being the fried pork ... but the udon part of the name should mean served over flat udon noodles?

Nice SW icons! I'm looking to fill out my collection - I've got one of padawan Anakin, and I don't have a good one yet of ep III Anakin or Obi-Wan, plus nothing of Qui-Gon or good ol'Maul. Hmm, come to think of it, I don't have a good one of Luke or Han, either.

I'll look for good pictures for ep III, but I'm having fun playing with Aurebesh. I've got a few of Luke up, with more in the works, and have at least an idea for Han ('my fandom dresses warmly' with Han's Hoth outfit)...

I'm going to have buy more icon space now...

Also, I've had katsudon twice -- once at a restaurant, once with a recipe off a Japanese cooking site -- and it's never been mentioned that it should be served with udon. Udon are QUITE big, and I think would overwhelm the dish.
