The plot bunnies are attacking!

Mostly because of this discussion of wallbangers in canon, I am being attacked by a short fic plot bunny that wants to deal with the wallbangers of "mutants don't get AIDS" and "Hank McCoy is gay (but not really)".

By having Hank go out to dinner with a scientist from the Pasteur Institute -- and stay out all night. Scott wants to be pissy and shocked about it, and I don't know if that's fair to him as a character...

I wonder if the 'mutants don't get AIDS' thing is in any way tied to the fact that the Legacy virus storyarc was a really really bad AIDS analogy? Sounds like a plot bunny that could hop somewhere interesting.
