And of course, with orchestral instruments requiring both rare materials and many many man-hours of skilled hand labor, labor that can't be automated much more than it already has been, musical instruments might be one of the few things that would be worth shipping interstellar, as a trade good-- Steinways, hand-knotted Persian rugs, furs, spices and aromatics, wines, chocolate, silk, and drugs. The spacelanes are going to look like the Silk Road. Only with Steinways.
